ob81.com Sporting A Fresh Look!

Sup!

After days of hard contemplation and searching, I decided that ob81.com needed a new look. I have been blogging for a little under 2 months now, and have learned a lot about site structure and feature placement. I fell in love with the old ob81.com look, but it just didn’t have the long haul feel to it. I figured that a change to a theme that I could adapt to and tweak as much as needed over time, was due. Better early than late!

I still have a few tweaks to make, but the bulk has been completed.

I have this guy at blogosquare.com to thank, and he has gained a big check in the box for 1 of his 6 Things to Do Before He Died!

Well it is getting late. I have to work on a few other posts before I reach the jsajsajsajsaj stage while typing.  :)

Browse around the site and tell me what you think!

Nice new look Howard. Simple yet effective.

You’re my boy so thats why i am giving some constructive criticism :)

I like the design, but wish it was 2 column instead of 3. True, my site is in 3 columns but something about the color scheme just makes it look cluttered imo. My first impression was “omg tons of links” for whatever reason.

That’s the only comment i really have about it though.

Looks good - I was going to use this theme on another project! You do need a logo/header rather than the ever-changing header that the theme uses.

Very nice template.. Nice and fresh ..

Congratulations on your 2 month Blogging anniversary.. *hugs*

(If you do work on a logo you can also use that as a favicon) Then you have your total package.. But that will come *hugs*

Have a wonderful evening!

Heya Howard, looks nice but I do agree with William, there’s an OMGLINKS sense that’s a bit overwhelming.

I know the speech bubble thing is used everywhere but I love it. :D

Thanks for the constructive criticism William! I was looking for a 2 Column originally, but when I saw this theme I loved it. I have some plans for that 3rd column over there. Its small, and it seems to be out of the way.

@Davor: Thanks!

@Carolyn: Yep. I remember that you said come to you whenever I needed a logo as well :D

@peety: Thanks! I must get with you and Carolyn in the near future :p

@Kristina: Thanks! I love the speech bubbles and that was a key aspect when searching.
