I'm worried about pumping Notofiri with all of the emails for digg/reddit users. They will end up having contacts for every social bookmarker online. Something very precious.

I had an idea for a site that focused around sending your friends links, either through email, IM or even SMS. I am not sure if it would be popular or not, but it is a site I definitely would use.

Hrm, Social News Networks is accurate for sites like Digg and Reddit, but sites like stumbleupon really aren't news sites, so I used a line that would cover both types :D I must agree though, if I was using 1 or 2 sites Notifir would extend a few simple tasks. Though the email function would still be useful to notify your friends though.

I guess I just don't see it. Maybe it's because I would only use Digg and Reddit here and there. Just looks like another site you have to manage or keep track of to make sure it is putting what you want out there. You also call sites like Digg and Reddit social networks, I find that the wrong term, "social news network" would be a much more appropriate one. So does Notifir (makes me think of noti-fur) handle anything other than the social news sites that you listed?

@Jacob: Sure, when you use 1 or 2 sites, it is easy to manage. When you have 3 or more, it gets a bit tedious rambling through multiple sites. The idea of Notifir seems to place everything in one central area, which is needed right now, and especially in the future as more and more sites are created.

I am not sure what's the point? All the information it has you can get from Digg directly or StumbleUpon. Seems like an extra layer of complexity for something that already is there.
